Police recovered the dead body of a DBC News employee, Abdul Bari, from a place near Police Plaza in Dhaka’s Hatirjheel area on Wednesday.
The Investigation Officer of Gulshan Police Station, Sheikh Shahnur Rahman, confirmed the matter to The New Nation adding that the body was recovered from a roadside opposite the Police Plaza in Hatirjheel area. The body was later sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
The victim’s brother filed a case with Gulshan Police Station in this connection on Wednesday. Police said that they were inspecting the site and trying to collect evidence.
None was arrested in this connection, the IO added.
Abdul Bari worked as a senior production executive in DBC News, a private television channel of Bangladesh.
