The daylong talent hunt school chess competition held on Saturday at Motijheel Govt. Primary School premise in the city.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar, operative director of Walton, was the chief guest in the daylong meet. Motijheel Govt. Primary School head mistress Nurjahan Hamida, were among others, also present on the occasion.
A total of 200 boys and girls students took part in the meet, in cooperation of Bangladesh Chess Federation.
After the competition ten participants have been finally selected. The talent hunt programme will be conducted eight more schools in the city in order to pick eighty more budding chess players.
Finally, a competition will be arranged with them to sort out best budding chess players who will be given long-term training.
