Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Sunday predicted that day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9 am today ( Monday).
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, said a Met office bulletin issued here on Sunday morning.
The bulletin also said that moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to Monday morning.
Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalgonj, Sitakunda, Srimangal, Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogoan, Jashore, Chuadanga, Barisal and Bhola and it may abate at some places.
As an extended outlook of the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that rain or thunder shower is likely to occur at some places over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 27.7 degree Celsius in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazaar district, while today’s minimum temperature was 6.3 degree Celsius in Tetulia of Panchagarh district.
The sun sets at 5.40 pm on Sunday and rises at 6.41am today in the capital.
