Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted that day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at many places across the country in 24 hours as of 9 am today, it said.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country,” said the met office bulletin.
Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 36.8 degrees Celsius at Sylhet and the lowest one on Tuesday 25.1 degrees Celsius at Hatiya .
The highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am yesterday was recorded 39 millimeters (mm) at Hatiya.
