A day-long training program for the transport and speed boat drivers as well as mechanics and helpers of government transport pool was held at the computer lab cum mini conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office in Gaibandha.
DC Abdul Matin formally inaugurated the function as the chief guest on Thursday while Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Alamgir Kabir Saikat presided over it.
District administration arranged the function that was also addressed, among others, by Mayor of Gaibandha Municipality Adv Shah Masud Zahangir Kabir Milon, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Shah Sarwar Kabir, Principal of Gaibandha Technical Training Center Atiqur Rahman and Assistant Director of district manpower office Nesarul Haque
Speakers underscored the need for receiving need base training for drivers of all to drive their vehicles properly.
There is no alternative to training for any individuals to make them more efficient to help perform their professional duties skillfully, they said.
