The day-long rugby competition will be held today (Wednesday) at physical education training center in the city’s Mohammadpur in the memory of Argentine Marxist revolutionary leader Che Guevara.
Thirty players from four teams are taking part in the meet, organized by Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF).
The participating teams are Rajshahi, Narail, Jessore and Gaibandha rugby clubs.
The Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) arranged the competition in order boost up the thirty under-16 rugby players who have been selected from the final phase of talent hunt program from the grassroots’ level.
Sports organizer Badal Roy will formally inaugurate the competition as chief guest at 9 am. In this regards a press conference was held on Tuesday at conference room of Bangabandu National Stadium to provide all the details of the meet.
President of Bangladesh Rugby Federation Abdullah Al Zahir provided all the details of the competition.
BRF general secretary Moushum Ali, BRF joint general secretary Sayed Ahmed, BRF member Din Islam, Sirajul Islam, were among others, present on the occasion.
