Police recovered a day-labourer’s dead body from his in-law’s house at Shakoyadighi village of Tarash upazial in Sirajganj yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Anisur Rahman, 35, son of Morhom Ali of Birangor village in Pabna district.
Wife and mother-in-law of Anisur killed him in connection with a family dispute for land, the relatives of the deceased alleged.
Abdul Majed, sub-inspector (SI) of Tarash police station said, “Anisur used to work as day labourer at his neighbor Ershad Ali’s house. In morning, Ershad Ali’s wife Anu Begum came to call Anisur as he missed the scheduled time to work while Anu found his body inside the house. Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj sadar hospital for autopsy.
“There are no sign of injuries on the body of victim. However, there are odors and symptoms of poison in his mouth. After receiving autopsy report, we will take further legal actions against the accused”, the SI also added.
