A day-labourer was stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants in capital’s Jurain area on Tuesday morning.
The victim was identified as Mamun, 20, hailing from Shariatpur district.
Quoting the relatives of the victim, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost In-charge Mozammel Haque said that a group of armed miscreants attacked Mamun on Monday night when he was returning home around 11:30pm, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to DMCH where he succumbed to his injuries around 8:00am, the police official said.
The body had been handed over to the relatives of the victim in the afternoon, he said.
A case was filed in this connection.
