Police recovered the throat-silt body of a day-labourer from Manikdihi village in Sadar upazila on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Modan Odhikari, 38, son of Bimal Odhikari, hailing from Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district.
Sub-inspector Sukumar Kundu, in-charge of Sajiali police camp, said locals spotted the body by a road in the morning and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body around 12:30pm.
Victim’s family members said Modan used to upload and unload raw materials in different markets. He went out of his house on Wednesday evening but did not return home.
