Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am yesterday.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a met office bulletin issued on Saturday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius jointly at Chandpur in Chattogram and Nikli in Dhaka divisions while Saturday’s minimum temperature was 24.7 degrees Celsius jointly at Srimangal in Sylhet and Tetulia in Rangpur divisions.
Maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am yesterday was recorded at 67 millimeters (mm) at Dimla in Rangpur division.
