Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Saturday predicted dry weather with partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours as of 9am today.
“Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country,” a BMD release said in its 24-hour weather forecast commencing at 9am yesterday.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Besides, a depression over Southwest Bay and adjoining area moved north-northwestwards, intensified in a deep depression and lay centered over the same area (near Lat: 11.0oN and lon: 82.5oE) at 6am yesterday.
It is likely to intensify further and move in a northwesterly direction.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius at
Teknaf in Chattogram and Saturday’s minimum temperature was 12.7 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet.
