UNB, Manikganj :
Ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route resumed this (Sunday) morning after four hours’ disruption due to dense fog.
Mahiuddin Rasel, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Aricha, said they kept suspended ferry services and plying of the water vessels from 5:00 am due to blurred visibility for dense fog.
Five ferries with a large number of vehicles and passengers remained stranded at Daulatdia and four ferries at Paturia ferry terminal while five ferries-Shah Mukhdum, Barkat, Banalata, Chandra Mallika and Shapla Shaluk-remained stranded in the mid-river since 5:00 am on Sunday due to poor visibility caused by fog.
