Daughter-child day observed

The national day of the Daughter Child-2020 was observed like other parts in the country on Wednesday in a befitting manner with the call of ensuring equal rights to the girl child to make them equally worthy citizens for attaining substantial and sustainable national uplift.
Women Affairs Department,NGos including Kishoreganj district administration arranged a meeting on Virtual Platform held at old court conference room on Wednesday noon.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury attended as the chief guest, while Deputy Director of Women Affairs Department Md.Mamunor Rashid presided over.
It was addressed among others by Civil Surgeon Dr.Mujibur Rahman as special guest, Additional SP Anairban Chowdhury, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Women leader Bilkis Begum , and CARE International in Kishoreganj Project manager Kamrun Naher
ADC (General) Golam Mostafa Senior Information Officer Samsul Haque, CAB Kishoreganj District President Alam Sarowar Tito and other dignified persons were also present.
Deputy Commissioner ( DC) Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury said that Children particularly the girls living in the slums should not be allowed to beg on the streets.
