The government has appointed Md Daud Ali, currently serving as Director General (Consular and Welfare) in the Foreign Ministry, as the new Ambassador of Bangladesh to Romania. Ali, a career foreign service officer belonging to the 15th batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre, served in various capacities in Bangladesh Missions in Tokyo, Pretoria and London, said a foreign ministry press release here on Thursday. Ali also served as the Consul General at Bangladesh Consulate in Kunming, China. At the headquarters, he worked in various capacities in different wings.
He obtained his Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Rajshahi University.
