Shariatpur Development Society (SDS) inked an agreement with DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited (DataSoft) to work together on the initiative titled “Increasing Income Capabilities of Entrepreneurs by Expanding Ecological Farming System in Char Region Solution.” The organizations will collaborate to enhance the adoption of IoT (Internet of Things) based agro-technology by local agricultural entrepreneurs across Bangladesh, said a press release.
The signing ceremony was conducted online over a virtual meeting recently.
Azad Chowdhury, CEO of DataSoft and Rabeya Begum, Executive Director of SDS signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Manjur Mahmud, COO of DataSoft, presided over the meeting while Dr. Akond Md. Rafiqul Islam, Senior General Manager (Programme) & Project Coordinator, PACE Project, PKSF and Mozibur Rahman, Ex-Executive Director of SDS and other senior officials of PKSF, SDS and DataSoft were in attendance.

Funded by Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) through Project PACE (Promoting Agricultural Commercialization and Enterprises), which aims to promote ecologically harvested agricultural products, this initiative will allow entrepreneurs to adopt geo-fencing and AI-based traceability solutions to monitor and protect cultivation, harvesting and transportation processes thereby ensuring safe and efficient farm-to-consumers produce delivery.
