Before starting lockdown noted actress and director Aruna Biswas went to Pabna to take part in shooting of Wajed Ali Sumon’s movie Antoratma. She is
acting in role of Indian film actress Darshana Banik’s mother in the movie. Aruna informed that after taking part in shooting of the movie for four days she returned to Dhaka due to starting
countrywide lockdown from April 5. She is staying safely at her residence in the capital’s Dhanmondi area now.
While talking about acting in the movie Aruna Biswas said, “In movie Antoratma, I am playing the role of mother of Darshana Banik. I have liked story and my character. For this reason,
I am acting in this movie. Darshana is an educated actress. She has dedication to acting. She has intention to realise
her role before working, which impressed me. I am a senior actress in the country which she realised and gave me proper respect during shooting. I have liked her attitude. I have tried my level best to portray my role properly in the movie. Viewers will say more after releasing the movie Antoratma.
Aruna also said that due to lockdown members of the Censor Board stopped to watch movies now. For this reason, she is trying to finish her other activities staying at her residence now. If she gives schedule after lockdown Aruna will take part in shooting of Animesh Aich’s serial on BTV titled Ekhane Keu Thakena.
Aruna Biswas is a versatile actress in movie and drama of the country. She is outstanding in any role. Apart from
acting, she sometimes engages herself with giving direction. Now she has to pass busy time with the political
activities of Awami League. She is
also member of the Censor Board.
On the occasion of birth centenary of Bangabandhu, Aruna made a faction movie Thikana Bottrish. Besides Aruna, Joyonto Chatterjee, Ashna Habib Bhabna, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, M A Salam, Mukul Siraj also acted in the movie. Aruna Biswas also made a short
film titled Ek Ajla Agun.
