A daring robbery took place in a jewelry shop- Sumita Jewelers at Pirgcaha upazilla bazaar in the early hours of Sunday.
A gang of robbers robbed around 150 carat gold and Tk 14 lakhs cash from the shop. They also beat the night guard of the market and stabbed two employees of the nearby shops and left them injured.
The owner of the shop Ramaji Lal said, a gang of robbers numbering around 10-12 stormed in his shop and looted some 150 carat gold worth around Tk 65 lakhs and cash Tk 14 lakhs. Video footage of the robbers and the robbery were captured in the camera as the shop’s close circuit camera remained open.
