A daring dacoity was committed at the house of a journalist at village Purakata Ferryghat at Barguna Sadar Upazila and the local police station has allegedly refused to file case recently .
It is alleged that a daring dacoity was committed at the house of Abdus Salam, Special Correspondent of the Bengali daily The Bangladesher Alo on May 24 night and the dacoits looted gold ornaments and other goods worth Tk 8 lakh but when Abdus Salam went to local police station ,OC including SI Siddiqur Rahman visited the spot but finally they did not lodge the case reason best known to the authority .
When contacted, Abir Mahmud Hossain , Officer-In-Charge said, the matter is being investigated and if the cash -memo of gold ornaments and source of looted money was informed, the case will be registered .
It is mentionable that a previous enmity was going on centering land dispute with neigbours Shahidul Islam, Moshammad Sheuly and Ibrahim .
