Peter Kiar Mackie Jensen, Associate Professor of the Department of International Health, Immunology and Microbiology of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark called on Vice Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Wednesday at the latter’s office of the university.
Chairman of the Department of Microbiology of Dhaka University Prof Dr Mahmuda Yasmin and Prof Dr Anowara Begum of the same department were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially about progress of the ongoing Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) funded collaborative research project on cholera diseases being implemented by the University of Copenhagen and the Dhaka University. They discussed about offering joint degree programmes and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the Danish Prof for visiting Dhaka University and showing keen interest on its academic and research activities.
He hoped that existing bi-lateral relations between the two universities would be strengthened further.
