UNB, Savar :
A Dakhil examinee, who failed to pass this year’s Examination, reportedly committed suicide in Rajfulbaria Bhorari area of the upazila on Friday noon.
Md Mamun, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Savar Model Police Station, said Popy Akhter, 17, daughter of Mujibur Rahman, hailed from Pashchim Begunbari village of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila, used to live with her sister and brother in-law in the area.
She hanged herself with the beam of the house when her family members went to their workplaces in the morning as she could not bear the pain of failure in the examination.
On information, police recovered the body from the house at noon and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. A case was filed with Savar Model Police Station in this connection.
