Amir Hossain, Acting Editor of the Daily Sun, passed away early Monday. He was 77.
Hossain breathed his last at Apollo Hospital in the city around 12:00 am.
He left behind wife, one daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. His body was taken to the Jatiya Press Club for the second namaj-e-janaja after the first one held on the East West Media Group Ltd (EWMGL) premises at 2:00 pm, said one of his colleagues. Later, the body was taken to Madaripur for burial and was laid to rest.
