The government has served a show-cause on the ‘Daily Sangram’ to explain as to why the declaration of the newspaper should not be cancelled from the media list.
Department of Films and Publications (DFP) issued the notice on Sunday.
In the notice, the authorities of the daily have been asked to submit their explanation within three days.
On Saturday, Daily Sangram Editor Abul Asad was shown arrested in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.
The case was filed against him for publishing a report calling convicted war criminal Abdul Qader Mollah, who was executed in 2013, a martyr.
