Lieutenant General Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Chief of General Staff, Bangladesh Army as the chief guest inaugurated 3-day long ‘Daffodil Captain Cup Golf Tournament 2018’ at Kurmitola Golf Club in the city on Friday.
The tee-off was witnessed among others by Dr.Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family, Major General Md. Enayet Ullah, Vice President, Kurmitola Golf Club, Brigadier General Md. Sayeed Siddiki, Club Captain, Kurmitola Golf Club, Brigadier General Abidur Reza Khan (Retd), Chairman, Tournament Committee, Kurmitola Golf Club, Brigadier General Mohd Obaidul Haque (Retd), Chief Executive Officer, Kurmitola Golf Club, Professor S M Mahabub-Ul-Haque Majumder, Pro Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University, Professor Dr. Engineer A K M Fazlul Haque, Lieutenant Colonel Md. Abdul Bari (Retd), General Manager, Golf Operations, Kurmitola Golf Club, Major Arman Ali Bhuiyan (Retd.), Project Director (Development), Mohamed Sabbir Ahmed, Joint Director (Planning & Development) of Daffodil International University and other members of the Daffodil Family and high officials of Kurmitola Golf Club were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
In different categories, a total of 150 golfers including male and female are taking part in the tournament.
