Due to the effect of cyclone Yass and full moon, the tidal water of Karnafuli river has risen in the container yards of Chittagong port.
On Wednesday (May 26) at around 12 noon, the kneedeep water access in different yards, the workers of various organizations using the port told media persons. .
According to the source, water has risen on the road of gate number 4 including the CCT referral unit, NCT, ICD unit, overflow yard of the port.
Port Secretary Omar Farooq said that even if the water rises in the low yard due to high tide, it will go down in an hour. There is nothing to worry or panic about. I will be able to give the details after the on-the-spot inspection.
