Dhaka Cycling Club has arranged a cycle rally and plantation program on the occasion of the World Environment Day, aiming to create awareness among people.
Chairman of the Energy Regulatory Commission AR Khan inaugurated the rally as the chief guest at the Handball Stadium here Saturday afternoon.
Table Tennis star and President of Dhaka Cycling Club Zobera Rahman Linu and general secretary of Bangladesh Handball Federation Asaduzzaman Kohinoor were also present on the occasion.
The rally will move to Bhuapur upazila of Tangail District from Uttara Sector-3 on the 2nd day (Sunday) and distribute leaflets among people on streets regarding importance of plantation.
On the 3rd and last day (Monday) of the program, the cyclists and officials of Dhaka Cyclist Club will take part in a plantation program at Ismail Kha College campus of Bhuapur where principal of Ismail Kha College Abdus Sattar Khan will be present.
