Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said Chittagong Veterenary and Animal Science University(CVASU) will be turned into international standard varsity and the city corporation will extend all possible helps to the development of the university.
City Mayor disclosed it while addressing a reception function at CVASU conference hall on Tuesday as Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University Dr.Iftekharuddin Chowdhury was present in it as special guest.
The chief guest in his brief deliverations said City Corporation and CDA will formulate masterplan jointly aimed at fulfilling the long-felt demands of the port city.
He said in the said master plan , scopes for development of CVASU will be included in the master plan. He urged the students to devote themselves in study rather in politics as CVASU is a specialized and organic based university.
Vice Chancellor of CVASU Dr.Goutam Buddha preside over it.
Among others Dean of Fishery faculty Dr. Nurul Absar Khan, Dean of veterinary medicine faculty Prof. Md. Ahsanul Hoque spoke on the occasion. CVASU vice chancellor presented a crest of the university to city Mayor on the occasion.
