The Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) authorities on Saturday announced a TK 16.34 crore budget for the fiscal 2014-15.
The budget was placed at the 26th Syndicate Meeting of CVASU held with Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Dr AS Mahfuzul Bari in the chair at his office.
Of the total budget, University Grants Commission (UGC) will provide TK 15.48 crore while the rest TK 86 lakh would be available from CVASU’s own fund.
Sources said, of the budget expenditure, TK 10.15 crore would be spent for salary and other allowances for the teachers and employees, TK 2.16 crore for general incidental expenditure, TK 2.36 crore for educational expenditure, TK 80 lakh for repair preservation and rehabilitation and TK 87 lakh for procurement or purchase of assets.
A TK 14.72 crore revised budget of the fiscal 2012-2013 was also approved at the budget session.
