The T-10 cricket tournament to the faculty members of Chittagong University ended on Wednesday in a festive mode. The team comprising of the faculty members of BBA carried the day, defeating the team of Biological faculty members. Eight teams took part in the tournament.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury was present in award giving ceremony at the Abdur Rab Hall yard. Dr Iftekhar said, CU emphasizes on extending sports and cultural activities side by side research and education. The tournament would help the faculty members to tie with one another and inspire the students to involve in the sports and physical exercise.
Among others, Prof Dr Awrongojeb, president of Chittagong University Teachers’ Association, General Secretary Sukanto Bhattacharwa, Prof Dr Sekandar Chowdhury of Arts and Humanities, Prof Dr Mohammad Safiul Alam of Science Faculty, Prof Dr Farid Uddin Ahmed of social science faculty, Prof ABM Abu Noman of Law faculty, Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman of Biological Faculty, Prof Dr Sankar Lal Saha of Engineering Institution were present in the award giving ceremony.
