The teachers of Chittagong University under the banner of Chittagong University Teachers Association (CUTA) formed a human chain in front of Saheed Minar of the varsity protesting the countrywide incidents of hurling petrol bombs by the opposition.
The human chain was formed at 11.00 am yesterday where Vice-Chancellor Prof Anwarul Azim Arif, Pro-vice Chancellor Dr Iftekar Uddin Chouwdhury, CUTA President Prof Benu Kumar Dey, Dean of Arts faculty, Prof Dr Sikandar Chowdhury among others were present at the programme. The speakers said, the terrorists are trying to create chaos among the peace loving people by hurling petrol bombs and cocktails arguing the opposition to stop such kind of terrorism activities.
