Customs officials have seized a “no entry” imported Saree, three pieces, shirting , shooting and import ban injection syringe (1.75) lakh pieces, consignment without documents with false declaration at Benapole Port on Wednesday morning. Customs Commissioner Belal Hossain Chowdhury detained the consignment from the port of shed no 12. The revenue of Tk. 24 lakh has been evasion.
According to the customs Deputy Commissioner Jakir Hossain’s instructions, 40 cartoons of saree, three pics, shirting, shooting and shipment from Indian trucks no was going to Dhaka from the shed without papers. Customs Unstable Special Team member Md Rashedur Rahman (ARO) keeps the truck under surveillance. Later, the truck was seized along with goods.
The shipment of goods through the no-entry is brought to the port by smuggling. A smuggling gang tried to revenue evasion of Tk 26 lakh. One consignment of flavor declared and other goods were miss declared already loaded in the truck. In the meantime, the Unstable team confirmed that one flavor and saree three pics try to go from port area without documents.
Later, after the situation the driver ran away to keep the truck in front of customs gate.
A team was formed to invent the Covered van with detained goods. In the presence of the journalist, the truck’s lock was broken. In this, saree three pics, shirting , shooting and import ban injection syringe were found in — cartoons brought to false declared through smuggling. Whose quantity of flavor 25 drum ,1500 pics Saree, three pics, shirting , shooting and 1.75 lakh import ban Injection .
In this way, a group of smugglers trying to trap the government’s revenue by smuggling.
Belal Hossain Chowdhury, Commissioner of Customs house said , Cover van with detained saree three pics, shirting , shooting and import ban injection syringe was confiscated under Customs Act. However, an investigation committee has been constituted headed by the Additional Commissioner Zakir Hossain to investigate the revenue fraud and the case is underway in Benapole Port Police Station against the concerned importer and C & F agent.
