Customs Intelligence (CI) yesterday seized a covered van full of electric fans, whose raw materials were imported evading taxes from Akbar Shah Thana area in Chittagong.
Sources said, the CI team in its preliminary investigation found that M/s. Golden Sun, a Customs Bonded Warehouse in Chittagong, was scheduled to sell those electronic fans to Kushtia market.Earlier, on Wednesday CI team also seized two covered vans of electronic fans form the same reason here.
Customs sources said these complete assembled fans were imported from abroad with false declarationof electric fan accessories with bond facilities but the importer imported complete fan aimed at evading govt revenue..
