Customs Intelligence & Investigation Department officials detained one container clothes that imported on bond facilities from Halishhar Bandar market area in city on Thursday .
The imported clothes so imported for export oriented garments factory under bond facilities .
Aktar Spading Ltd of Dhaka EPZ imported these clothes and supposed to unload the consignment at factory premises in Dhaka but the C&F agent after taking delivery from port , was trying to unload thecloths near Bandar market in Halishahar through changing the tailors.
Sensing the information, CIID officials rushed to the spot and seized the clothes along with container. The container was stored in Esof ak Container Depot in Halishahar.
After physical inventory, about 28000 yards high quality shirting suiting fabrics The estimated market price of these cloths about Tk.1.28 crores. Legal actions against the importer and C&F agent will be taken after investigations, sources added.
