CoU Correspondent :
At this pandemic situation, Cumilla University (CoU) is interested to take the upcoming admission test, not in physically as before but through online media centrally with other universities. On this matter CoU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury said that discussions are underway to use the software developed by Bangabandhu Digital University to take online exam.
Where some universities have announced that they will not take online admission test in cluster system, wheather Cumilla University will follow the same path? In response to question, CoU Vice-Chancellor said, “There is much more, including the delivery of question papers, which is not easy if the government is not involved. And the government wants holding admission test online. Jagannath and other universities, including Cumilla University, will officially take the exam online in a combined format, this is the latest decision of the Vice Chancellor’s quorum. Then the final decision will come after meeting with UGC again.”
Regarding the online test system, he also said, “The software can also be used on mobile. We will test it for three months before the admission test. If we see it is reliable, then the admission test will be taken.”
When it was asked if the system would be effective in different parts of the country, he said that the test could be taken offline. The software should be used on the Internet at the beginning and end of the test.
