‘Cultural practice’ launched in 18 districts: Noor

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor on Wednesday said ‘cultural practice’ programme under a pilot project has been launched in 18 districts of the country.
“We have taken the initiative at secondary level education to build the young generation as cultural minded,” he told a view exchange meeting at the Jatiya Natyashala of Shilpakala Academy here.
Cultural Affairs Secretary Ibrahim Hossain Khan, Director General of Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky and senior officials of the ministry, among others, were present at the meeting.
Noor said, “This cultural practice programme will begin at 180 high schools of 18 districts from the new fiscal year. The programme will begin in other districts in phases.”
The 18 districts are Gopalganj, Tangail, Munshiganj, Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Rangpur, Khulna, Jessore, Bogra, Sirajganj, Cox’s Bazar, Mymensingh, Kishoreganj, Barisal, Bhola, Sunamganj, Chittagong and Comilla.
