Chittagong University Journalists’ Association (CUJA) formed a human chain demanding four point including removal of Vice-Chancellor of BangabandhuSheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU).
Students, teachers, proctor and journalists of CU took position in the human chain held in front of centralShahed Miner of the university on Thursday around 12.30 pm.
CU acting Proctor PranabMitra said that the university is place where students can express their opinion. No one has right to impose restriction on it.
Leaders of CUJA said that freedom of expression is one of the fundamental rights granted byour constitution. VC is doing many illegal activities without considering constitution even they illegally suspended students if they express their opinion in Facebook or other social media.
CUJA demand four points which are resignation of the VCof, punishment of those people who illegally harresed Zinia and attacked on SamserMobin and give safety to campus journalists.
CU acting proctor Pronab Mitra, CUJA President Abdullah Al Faisal, General Secretary Jobaer Chowdhury, former president BaizidEmon, Joint Secretary Imaran Hossain and other journalists of CUJA ,among others, were also present at the program.
