Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology Dr. Prof. Jahangir Alam visited the mazar of the father of the nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalgonj on October 9 last. During his visit, Vice Chancellor paid homage to the great leader of the country and placed floral wreath at the mazar of Bangabandhu.
He visited Tungipara at his own initiative and in a written letter to the Prime Minister requested her to build Tungipara as a centre point of development of modern technology based different project .
He also visited the different areas of Tungipara to commemorate the birth place of Bangabandu.
He also suggested in his letter to establish a specialized hospital like global standard of Dr. Debi Sethi hospital of Bangalore, India and to formulate a plan for development tourist spots aimed at attracting the foreigners there.
The vice chancellor also proposed for establishing a IT park, IT village there , a CUET sources said,.
