The authorities of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) have decided to resume its activities on August 3 after an indefinite strike following an infighting of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
The decision came from a meeting held at the Administrative Building of the university on Thursday morning with Vice-Chancellor Dr M Jahangir Alam in the chair.
Fazlur Rahman, Public Relations Officer of CUET, said the classes and examinations would be resumed from August 3 and the residential halls would remain open from August 1.
Earlier on Monday, Chhatra League joint convener of the university Shamim Talha Jim was chopped over factional clash.
He was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
The authorities declared the university closed following the incident on Tuesday.
