Teachers, students and employees of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday renewed their pledge to resist militancy with all strength for protecting Bangladesh.
“Militancy must be rooted out from the country,” the CUET family viewed.
Hundred members of CUET family said this while addressing an anti-militancy rally at CUET Shahid Minar premises this afternoon to protest the militant attacks at Gulshan and Sholakia.
Earlier, a rally led by CUET Vice Chancellor Prof Rafiqul Alam started from CUET Shahid Minar and concluded at the same venue after parading different roads of the campus.
Hundreds of teachers, students, employees among others, took part of the rally and spoke on the occasion. The theme of the procession was Love Country, Resist Militancy. Vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam, Registrar Prof. Dr. Farukuzzaman chowdhury, Director of Students welfare Prof. Dr. Moshiul Hoque spoke in the rally. Asstt. Registrar Fazlur Rahman conducted the rally as moderator, CUET sources said.
