President and Chancellor of the Chattogram University of Engineering Technology (CUET) Md Abdul Hamid on Thursday called upon the teachers to become more affectionate like guardians towards the students.
He was addressing the 4th Convocation of the CUET on Thursday afternoon at university campus .
He said university is the most national important place and so it is essential to maintain the friendly relations in between the teachers and students to ensure the peaceful environment . He also mentioned that teachers are parallel to guardians. Chairman of University Grants commission Prof. Dr.Kazi Shahidullah graced the occasion as special guest. Former UGC Chairman Prof. Dr.AKAzad chowdhury delivered speech as Convocation speaker. In the convocation ceremony a bout 2,231 ex-students offered Degrees and post graduate degrees and four best degree holders were honoured with Gold Award.
Former Minister Engr. Mosharraf Hossain and the chairman of the parliamentalry standing committee on Ministry of Railway were also present in it. Chancellor of CUET further said Convocation is the milestone of the university as well as it is a memorable day for the students. A grand reunion of thousand hundred students witnessed in the campus of Chattogram Universty of Engineering & Technology centring the 4th convocation of the university yesterday afternoon.
