Teachers and students of Chittagong University (CU) staged a human chain demanding removal of the Vice chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) at Gopalganj yesterday .
More than 100 students under the banner of ‘general Student’ took part in the human chain held in front of central Shahid Minar of the university on Sunday around 1 pm.
The protestors also demanded the punishment against those who injured students of BSMRSTU.
Assistant Professor of Sociology sociology department Maidul Islam said that the university is a place of free thought. Where students will express their expression .
Students are the life of the university. If a university does not have a student, it is lifeless.BSMRSTU authority tortured students that can not be tolerable.
The speakers added that the student movement has never been in vain. We want immediate resignation of the vice-chancellor of BSMRSTU. If the demand is not met then the students of Chittagong University will form a big movement by agreeing with all the students of the country.
