CU Correspondent :
A Chittagong University (CU) student has remained missing for the last six months.
Shimanta Shil, son of Pradip Shil, of Kokdondi village under Banshkhali upazila of Chittagong, is a second-year student of the botany department.
Shimanta went missing from near port city’s Bakalia BEd College on December 15, last year, said family members. His father filed a general diary with Bakalia Police Station the next day.
“It has been six months already, we don’t know his whereabouts. We don’t even know if he is alive,” said his worried uncle, Nandan Shil. He sought cooperation from the law enforcement agencies.
Contacted, Pranab Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of the police station, said they were trying their best to find Shimanta.
