A 10-year boy who lead his family by selling papers at Cu shuttle train and Shulosohor Station was killed as a university- bound shuttle train hit him at Cantonment area while he was crossing the line. His identity is unknown.
Eye witness and police said, the university- bound train hit him at around 10.15 am at Cantonment area while he was selling papers to the students and were crossing the line. The boy caught spot death, thy added.
The Shuttle train headed for University from Shulo Sahor Station at around 9.45.
Over 50 children lead their lives by selling newspapers and some of them told the New Nation that the deceased was the earning person of the family.
Akkel Ali, duty officer of the Chittagong GRP thana acknowledging the matter said a police team recovered the death body.
