The Chittagong University officials formed a human chain on the campus on Sunday to press home a five-point demand, including increase in their retirement age and restoration of selection grade and time scale to the pay scale.
Under the banner of CU Officers’ Association, they also sought filling vacant posts with internal officials, creating new administrator posts headed by respective sectors’ senior officials and creating an additional registrar post.
From a press conference in Cucsu building, they called a half-day work stoppage for yesterday and full-day for today.
