CU officials accused of illegal eviction of private installations

Four officials of Chittagong University accused for forceful occupation of a private installations belong to a religious personality named Mansur Shah Lal Bhandari.
A land measuring about 6.42 acres including some portions of Khas land was under possession of Lal Bhandari Darbar Sharif for the last 25 years. Within the complex of Lal Bhandari Darbar where poultry, dairy farm, fish cultivation, agri farm, biogas plant developed in the meantime for the sustainability of the dwellers in the premises.
The accused govt officials verbally threatened Lal Bhandari to vacate the lands claiming as khas land being greedy for grabbing these land.
The accused CU officials are Md. Alamgir, Md. Zaker, Md. Bajaland Md. Mansur of govt agri office. This was alleged in the press meet arranged at Chittagong press club yesterday. Meanwhile Lal Bahadur filed a misc case before the Chittasgong ADM court on January 2 last and date fixed for hearing on February 11 next and issued order under section 145 of Cr PC.
The press meet was told that pending order under section 145 of Cr.PC oer land, a team led by UNO Hathazari accompanied by Hathazari thana police evicted the Lal Bhandari and other residents within a hour giving no scope of time for leaving the installations. With this advantage of eviction from the installations, the miscreants looted the household properties of the Lal Bhandari Darbar sharif, the press meet was told.
 The sufferers urged the Prime Minister for installation in the matter, press meet said.
