Some young students of English Department of Chittagong University (CU) have, recently, launched a Language Club named “English Union” keeping the following slogan “Let us be the light, Let us be the change”
On March 20, with the presence of some department faculties, the club made its grand opening at Arts Gallery-2 in the Faculty of Arts. The aim of the club is to increase the intra- departmental relationship among the students and teachers, and its activities include practicing public speaking, debate, creative writing, etc.
In speech the chairman of the department Prof. Dr. Kamaluddin Ahmed said that I was looking for a chance to let my students know about themselves.
He gives his special thanks to the initiators- Abeer Abrar Hossain (convener), Zubair Ahmed (Advisor), Ahmed Reza Khan, Imran Hossain, Arif, Sourav, Amy, Nusrat, Ripon, Fuad, Nowshin, Mishu, Sidrat, Shonjoy, Shipon, Saikot, Noor-E-Tanzila, Sumaiya for this great enterprise.
