A Science Fair was held at Chittagong University Laboratory School and College.
Chittagong University (CU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury inaugurated the fair at around 10 am yesterday.
The participants brought a total of 24 tech-projects including robot and technology based modern watch. The contesters were seen very busy with showing their project to the visitors and describing the facilities of their invented project.
Dr Iftekhar in his opening speech said, the junior scientists will enlighten the world someday, saying technology is the inevitable part of the modern society and culture. Thanking Laboratory School authority, who held the `biggan mela’, Dr Ifekhar said, science and technology helps to uproot superstitions, fundamentalism and ignorance.
With the chair of Prof Dr Mohammad Jasim Uddin, Science faculty dean Dr Md Abdul Karim, Biology faculty dean Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman, among others, addressed the opening ceremony.
