The nine-day admission tests for the first year honors courses of 2015-2016 academic session under 11 units of Chittagong University (CU) started here on Sunday.
The admission tests of A and J units took place on the day.
A total of 25,766 students sat for the test against 546 seats of A unit while 4,514 sat for the test against 85 seats of J unit.
The management of CU took all-out preparations for holding the tests peacefully and properly.
Additional forces of law enforcing agencies have been deployed to maintain peace during the examinations.
All the highways linking the CU are cleared of extra shops and installation from both sides of Chittagong-Hathazari Road, Dhaka-Ctg Highway from Mirsarai to Chittagong etc.
