Chittagong University (CU) celebrated its 52nd founding anniversary opn Sunday amid festivity and enthusiasm.
The day began with placing floral wreath at the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A discussion was also held at the office of CU Vice-Chancellor Prof Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury.
The vice chancellor, Pro-VC Prof Shireen Akhter, Arts and Humanities Faculty Dean Prof Sekhandar Chowdhury, Social Science Faculty Dean Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed and CU Proctor Ali Asgar Chowdhury spoke at the discussion.
Founded in 1966, the university currently has 48 departments and over 28,000 students.
