Mohammad Juel, CU :
Just after forming two-member committee of Chittagong University Unit Chhatra League, comprising of Alamgir Tipu as president and H M Fazle Rabbi Sujon as general secretary, the central body asked the Tipu-Sujon committee to submit the full committee list, but the they failed to hand over the list though 11 month has over.
On July 20, last year, the central BCL formed the body, issuing timeframe for submitting the full committee list, but the body failed to formulate the list. Whenever the central BCL were alleged to dilly dally to form the CU BCL committee, BCL general secretary Jakir Hossain asked the Tipu-Sujon committee to hand over the list soon, saying it would be discussed In the additional meeting, scheduled to be held on July 11/12.
Some BCL leaders on condition of anonymity alleged that, Chhatra League president Alamgir Tipu and general secretary H M Fazle Rabbi Sujon trying to grip the full body, by enlisting their own group’s activists in the committee.
They also concerned that, the dedicated leaders may also be deprived from being enlisted in the committee, as the duo already established supremacy in the campus, avoiding others after formation of the two member committee.
Just after couple of days to the two member committee formation, the president’s group’ 69′ and secretary group ‘Bijoy’ locked into fierce clashes for several times, where dozens of leaders and activists were critically injured with bullet injury.
Following frequent clashes, the central BCL after a massive clashe between the duo, postponed the mini committee on February 9 to avoid tension.
After the announcement, the central committee argued to postpone committee to hand in full body list, saying the body will be reactivated after reception of the list.
But the committee failed to do so. Following, the vacated committee, the CU BCL actually is being a guardian less where the dedicated leaders started leaving the varsity.
However, denouncing the allegation Alamgir Tipu said, we already formed a 121-member committee, saying the list would be soon handed over to the central body.
