A Chittagong University student and an activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League of CU unit was hacked with matched on Monday night here following prior rivalry over establishing supremacy in the group.
The injured was Shariful Islam (22) , a third year student of Islamic Studies Department and an activist of BCL favoring the CU unit BCL’s General Secretary HM Fazle Rabbi Sujon.
Eyewitness and police said, Shariful and another BCL activist Shah Nur Abeer locked into clash over a scuffling matter and attacked one another with matched.
During the clash at Shah Amanat Hall, Shariful was hacked and Nur Abeer received minor injury.
Shariuful was admitted to Chittagong Medical Hospital and Nur Abeer at CU Medical Center.
CU Proctor Ali Azgor Chowdhury said, on information the police rushed to the spot and recovering hospitalized the duo.
